  • Catholic Schools Ireland- On this site you will find information concerning the Catholic Schools Partnership and the Association of Trustees of Catholic Schools. Useful publications and resources for Catholic schools are available here. You can also access a large selection of videos relating to Catholic schools through the iCatholic portal and a link to the Department of Education and Skills’ facility for finding details about individual schools is provided.
  • Barnardos - Contains lots of information on childcare, bullying and a new booklet on your child's numeracy development
  • Help My Kid Learn- On this site you will find information concerning the Catholic Schools Partnership and the Association of Trustees of Catholic Schools.   • Department of Education and Skills- This is the website of the government department. It contains a section on information for parents, as well as all school related guidelines, circulars and inspection reports.
  • National Council for Curriculum and Assessment- Did you ever wonder exactly what your child learns in an Irish primary school everyday? This link provides excellent information on the content covered in each class level in the primary school, as well as very helpful videos and tip sheets to help your child’s learning at home.
  • Starfall- This is a brilliant website for practising phonics. It is also very helpful for parents, as it says the sound that each letter makes in the English alphabet.

  • This site provides programmes and games that will support language skills in Irish. Your child will benefit greatly from listening to spoken Irish regularly at home, and it’s certain that they’ll enjoy the programmes on Cúla 4. If you’re not confident at reading Irish, click on the ‘English’ button to translate the site.
  • Scoilnet- A portal that contains many links to educational sites, updated regularly.
  • National Geographic Kids- A brilliant, colourful site, full of information on different countries, animals, science, and much much more.

  • Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children- The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) is Ireland’s oldest and most well-known children’s charity.
  • National Parent's Council - National Parents Council Primary employs a Chief Executive and staff based in Dublin. Volunteers from Parent Associations form NPC County Branches in Cavan, Clare, Cork East, Cork West, Dublin North, Dublin NW, Dublin South, Dublin SW, Kildare, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Sligo, Tipperary and Wexford.   • Green Schools Ireland - Green-Schools, known internationally as Eco-Schools, is an international environmental education programme, environmental management system and award scheme that promotes and acknowledges long-term, whole school action for the environment.
  • Active Flag- A Department of Education and Skills initiative supported by Healthy Ireland, and part of the National Physical Activity Plan. The ASF initiative provides schools with a framework to guide, support and incentivise them to work towards achieving a physically educated and physically active school community. Once awarded, ASF remains valid for a period of 3 years, after which time schools are invited to re-engage with the process.
  • Amber Flag - The Pieta Amber Flag Initiative recognises the individual efforts of primary and secondary schools, YouthReach, third level institutions, community groups and clubs to create healthy, inclusive environments that support mental well-being. Uniting these groups in their efforts, working together toward a happier, healthier Ireland and eradicate the stigmas associated with mental health issues.
  • Stay Safe - The CAPP programme (Stay Safe) is a primary school based approach to the prevention of child abuse. The aim of the programme is to reduce vulnerability to child abuse and bullying through the provision of a personal safety education programme for children at primary school level, continuing professional development for teachers, training for Boards of Management and information sessions for parents.
  • Meath GAA - Meath GAA provide ongoing coaching to the children of St Ciarán's NS. We have a wonderful relationship with our good friends in Ballinabrackey GAA club.
  • Edenderry Rugby - We have a great relationship with the wonderful Edenderry GAA club who we thank for their coaching sessions throughout the year. We hope plenty of children join the club as a result.

There was no MARGerINe for error as the children in Infants CHURNed out a big SPREAD!
