St Ciarán's Win their First Cumann na mBunscol game of the season!
Gaelic football returned to St Ciarán's for the first time since before Covid. The lads played Rathmore NS in a fiercely competitive game. Both sides gave all they had but thankfully our boys got the job done.
There were star performances on the pitch all day. Elliot was fantastic between the sticks. He had great defenders in front of him with John, Simon, Cillian and the debut of new summer signing Dylan at the back.
Michael and captain fantastic Seán ran the show in the midfield and showed great encouragement to the younger lads.
The lads up front really did the business with Declan, Riley, the two Ryans, Ben, Dean, Alex and Cian showing some great skills and finishing. Cormac will sleep soundly after he finally got his goal on the day. He had a great battle with a phenomenal Rathmore goalkeeper.
Thank you to the all the adults who helped out on the day including the Monahans who umpired, Gerry our transport expert, Padraig the referee, Tom and all at Ballinabrackey GAA for helping us.
A very big thank you Catríona and Laudine and the children from Happy Days Playschool who roared the team on! We would be lost without ye!
Next game will be away against Drumbaragh NS on Friday September 30th.
Naomh Chiaráin Abú!
